Daphne Zelle is an AAPI actor/writer/director. An ex-professional ballet dancer, she trained at Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, D.C. on merit scholarship before eventually discovering her love for pretending to be other people. She graduated from NYU with a BA in drama and creative writing and went on to appear in shows including a recurring role KAI in And Just Like That (HBO Max), Inventing Anna (Netflix), and Smile 2 (Paramount). In addition, she wrote and directed her first short film Your Face, which premiered at the Oscar-qualifying Cinequest Film Festival. She is currently in post-production for her short film Where Belly Goes. In her spare time, Daphne enjoys eating cake and watching cult horror films.
